It was great to meet you, and Ollie today.
Much as I'll miss the sheep, it's good to know they've gone to a good home and will be appreciated  :)

well done, look forward to pics. The Shetland sale is on at Lanark at the end of this month, always a good selection of tups there.

I'm glad you made it down and back safely, despite the shaky start this morning with the key breaking off in the trailer hitch lock (very sorry about that!! :-[ ).

I've got a note in my diary that there's a rare breeds auction in Stirling on 20th September - just think of it as the Tup-Shop sale  ;D , and let me know if you'd like company!

Lanark's better as that's the official Shetland breed society sale for Scotland.  Some excellent stock appears there, and I'm sure jaykay's sheep deserve the best tup you can afford.

Lovely to hear you've got your sheep Bloomer, and great to see where some of jaykay's flock have gone.

Lanark Rare Breeds Sale Friday 29th August.  Even if you don't buy, go, watch and learn ;)  There's usually a heap of TASers there ;)

And if you don't buy at Lanark (or one of the other Scottish sales), Carlisle Rare Breeds Sale is on Saturday 20th September.

Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Brilliant news! and really good that you've picked up your first flock from such a good home, at least you won't have some of the nasty surprises that awaited us  :)  look forward to pictures

So the Stirling rare breeds sale is on the same day as Carlisle then Sally? That's a shame, as I presume Carlisle is a much bigger affair?

Absolutely - I know Lanark is bigger and better. I just wanted to point out that it's happening, and is also more local to both bloomer and I. In Bloomer's case, yes, he definitely needs to find a good unrelated tup, and the advice from other TASers at Lanark will be important in that. In my case, I just need to find a young chap who will be "coming and going"  ;) , so I don't need to be quite so choosy.
