Kune Kune's Wanted
« on: April 19, 2008, 06:30:01 am »
Hi

We have had a lady here who bought a couple of chooks and became fascinated with our pigs she ended up asking about them but explained that she only had a small area of about 200m X 200m to keep animals but would dearly love to get some pigs.

As a suggestion I thought that Kune Kune's would be a good starting point and she asked if we know where she can get some but I don't, does anyone here in France have any suggestions as to where a pair could be obtained??

Thanks
Andy

She should advertise on Anglo Info Brittany as a starter and Total France has a smallholder section she should also try there.  I know there are breeders in Brittany.

We have weaners, Pot Bellies look-alike's (Mangalitza Pot Belly crosses), one the same derivative with Sanglier (hairy) markings available. Not suitable for breeding as males are castrated. Can furnish photos.

Hi Carole

Had a couple of replies from other sources and have sent these on but as yet I haven't heard whether the lady has had any joy or not.

I have Vietnamese pot bellied piglets available. They would suit a small area.
Not too far away from you.
