Quick question a friend has just called in a panic her beloved pet chicken has fly strike! She is doing what she can cleaned her off and applying an ointment we had called flo 10 I think. I'm worried about my 2 ducks now! Just had a quick inspection but would anyone know if I can buy a prevent spray for ducks.
I have seen a few green looking flies lately around their water bath !

In 30 years of keeping ducks I've never had a case of fly strike! I had a hen with fly strike once but that was because she had been cut by the roosters spur under her wing and I didn't notice straight away... I washed it with salt water and gave her and antibiotic and she was totally right as rain within 24 hrs! As long as your ducks are able to wash or swim and are not wounded they should be fine, don't worry!

Fly strike on poultry most likely to be flies laying eggs in a wound.
