i heard on the radio today that buff orpingtons were a good meat bird, are they, anyone had one, i thought they were all feathers, maybe a X would be good

Hmm....well could be as they are a large bird.  Never tried 'em tho.     We've had Sasso's in the past and they are great.   We also bump off the Light Sussex Cockerels cos they make a good size and when they become spiteful - we get our own back  ;).....Would never eat a Doodle tho  ::)
