Ryeland Ram available to good home
« on: November 01, 2009, 12:51:41 pm »
Hello

I have a friendly grey/brown Ryeland Ram whom we are looking re-home.  We bought him from a breeder in Norfolk in Oct 2008 to cross with our flock of Shetlands.  He is now about 20 months old and produced 9 lambs for us this spring, four white and five lovely brown lambs.  He is not registered.  We have decided to have a break from lambing and ideally would like to find him a new home where he can be with some new girls. We are based near Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire and can deliver.  Pleased to supply photographs.  If someone would like Bruno we would be pleased to hear from you

I am not anywhere near you but your post prompted me to ask a question.....
We went to see some unregistered shetland gimmers today, I don't know what the implications are of buying an unregistered sheep. Can you help?

I was wondering if there was a problem selling the lambs without a pedigree?

well if your only having a few then you will most likely be eating the product but no there is no problem. if your wanting to do pedagrees then do a whole lot of research and find an expert that can show you. i really can't see the need for it thou.
