Companion goat needed!
« on: June 27, 2014, 03:03:26 pm »
Hello, wondering if anybody could help me. I have a 15 old Pygmy male who has recently lost his companion. I am therefore looking to buy another goat to keep him company but having trouble finding any goats for sale in Kent. Does anybody have or know of any for sale? Ideally looking for a castrated male, any age, but must be disbudded. Any help will be really appreciated! Thank-you

Wonder if Buttercups goat sanctuary might be able to help you? they are in Kent.

Obviously  I don't know your goat, but I think you may struggle to get the old boy to accept a new companion, especially if the two of them were together for most of their lives and only the two of them (i.e. they never had a herd as such).

Given his age I would also think that before too long you will have to look for another companion male...

Just a thought that you may want to look at your longer term goat keeping plans...
