oops never seemed to get around to this bit!
« on: April 15, 2008, 08:39:42 am »
Hi Folks, I have been around for some time and have recieved great advice so thankyou so much, but I am sorry I never seemed to have introduced  myself. I live in Kippen, Stirlingshire and have approx 7 acres. We have 3 pigs (which we have had for about a month now) 2 Tamworths and a Berkshire. Some Blackrocks and since a visit to the poultry sale on Saturday 6 Marans. We have quite a productive veg garden which keeps us very busy, most of the time fighting off the Ground Elder, (must learn to love that stuff) I was told by someone you could eat it, maybe it does have a use after all! We also have three beehives. Three roaming children are also occasionally to be seen..usually foraging for food. This is a great site and I look forward to meeting more of you.

Hello - wondered why it took you so long!!

How are the Marans? Our BRs are looking fine - shoudl be able to free-range properly once I'm confident that they knwo where "bed" is!

Hi Jo and welcome,

My OH would love to pick your brains about your beehives - he bought one last year and it's just sitting in his warehouse at work!

We're not too far from you 'just alone the road' in Strathblane.

Look forward to hearing all of your news.
