Thank you xx they are still right as rain and and very strong and they ve been sprayed.  Still yard side, the lambs are nibbling at a little creep, whilst mum has her nuts, and hay, lovely babies and a really doting settled mum xx

Lambies are doing very well, thank you.
Actually the struck lambies seemed not to be affected very much, they practically didn't miss a beat  :)
The (unstruck) lambs of the struck ewe suffered more from her setback, especially as she suffered a second setback triggered by not eating much while feeding twins while struck, I think (I posted about that separately)

She greatly enjoyed her B&B and having the bigger pen for the lambies was just the ticket: here's a little video snippet of them looning about: http://youtu.be/q4AN3rZPY3w
She was much improved after a week, so I couldn't really justify keeping her penned up any longer, so took them all to the big field to join the flock (I will miss having them close by!)
Getting them to the big field was a bit of a logistical conundrum, as I had to walk them down one field through the garden and down the lane, about 300m - I move them with a bucket usually but this particular girl will just not follow out of her comfort zone without the security of the flock. No vehicle can get into the house field either, so in the end we devised the sheepmobil: those tiny Soays fit just fine in my old bicycle dog trailer  ;D

I also use barrier blowfly repel   it only lasts a month or so, but it's brilliant, no nasty chemicals. Used it all of last year and the only time I got fly strike was on a lamb that I know I'd only half sprayed as it was so flighty.

It's also good when they have been struck, you can see the maggots dying and falling out of the wool
