Just to say hi
« on: October 20, 2009, 09:51:47 pm »
Hi all,

wife and myself are purchasing 9 acres in Worcestershire.

Already have 3 horses, but looking to live "the good life" and will be keeping hens, sheep, pigs (when convinced wife), and growing crops. This I am sure will take a long time to come to fruition.

So just to warn you all......................................we will be asking for advice (and giving when we know what we are doing, so don't hold your breath)

Hope to talk to you all in the future.

Mark & Louise

Hello and welcome to the forum!!

I have horses, amongst other livestock.

Look forward to hearing what you decide to put on your land!

Hello from Angus,
Worcestershire is beautiful, We have 10 acres here and although we have owned the fields for 3 year we only moved on site in June. So we are building up stock now.
Good luck, welcome and let us know of your adventures and dilemmas

Hello from me in South Lanarkshire  ;D
Personally I'd go for pigs over sheep every time  :pig: :pig: :pig: You don't have to worry about maggoty bottoms  ;)
Good luck and please keep us up to date with developments.

Marigold and Happy Hippy

where abouts do you stay?

We lived in Blackwood nr Lesmahagow for 1 year and Northmuir for 2 years in a previous life. Why we ended back down nr the West Mids is beyond me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey - do you mean Northmuir near Kirriemuir - or are there lots of them? I am about 16 miles north west of Dundee

LOL ! I live in Waterside, just past Hollandbush golf course, Lesmahagow - so only about 4 miles from Blackwood.
My 'real' name is Karen Lindsay and I drove about in a bright purple, then pink, vw beetle for a while - does that ring any bells ?

Hey - small world. It is lovely in these parts. I drive through Northmuir at lease twice a week. - Great views over the Strathmore Valley.
