My Kune Kune's are here - Pictures
« on: October 19, 2009, 11:28:00 pm »
My Kune Kune pigs arrived yesterday! Two gilts at twelve weeks old. They seemed to have settled in well. Names are Bubble and Squeak! Pictures of their first meal.

Kune Kune piglets are wonderful - as are the grown pigs of course.  No matter how many litters my girls have I get just as excited each time!

Enjoy your girls.

Awww, gorgeous!  They're so similar to mine, Murphy has black spots on white, and one of the ginger girls has a few down her spine.
They'll grow...and grow...and grow... and you'll sometimes wonder if they're kunes at all!!

Thank you for all your kind comments. We think they are very cute! It is very hard not to spoil them and over feed. They are getting lots of attention, I have even caught some of the hardened farmers taking a peek!

I am very impressed with the fact that the chickens have just accepted the intrusion of the pigs, and the girls just seem the enjoy the company of the chickens. I think the chickens are quiet impressed because the pigs are rooting a little so exposing new ground for grubs and worms!!

My pigs always had their little fan club following behind when they were ploughing up the field.  You see chickens aren't stupid! ;D

She's first on the list! Murphy is showing signs of puberty, but the girls aren't ready yet.
