We handle the calves from birth so they are very docile. We then halter train them at 3 days old and bring them into the building of an evening, milk the mother the next morning and then the calf can have the rest of the milk. Because he is let out with his mother all day. Once a day milking is good because it eases the workload and uses less electricity.
