Land for Sale (Stirlingshire)
« on: May 30, 2014, 02:41:53 pm »
Hello folks,

I see that there's some land for sale in Stirlingshire in the CKDGalbraith website:

http://www.ckdgalbraith.co.uk/property/STR140036/Killearn

It's too expensive for me (and far too big), but wondered if anyone had considered going halfers on some land?

Looks nice land, and not a bad price, but i'm guessing there will be quite a few offers over 45,000.

I hate the fact that its always a sealed bid now.

But if it was local to me, i'd take a punt on it.

if you look at the details for the larger estate that its a part of you see that its quite poor quality land which explains the price.

although if i had the cash to hand i'd certainly consider it!!!

I don't know!  Am going to view it tomorrow - open viewing between 2-4pm.  Wondered if anyone had experience of splitting land?  We've been looking for some land to live on in a creative way whilst developing a smallholding.  I wondered if there might be anyone in a similar position locally?

Me too, I hate our system, that's why my plot in Aberdeenshire is on at a fixed price.  I don't want to make a huge amount out of it, just enough to give my kids something while I am still here to watch them enjoy it.
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age

To far to be worth my while, and seems a bit expensive for what it is?

If anything Falkirk way comes up I'd be happy to split if the price was right! Nothing decent ever comes up, always either tiny or totally inflated pricewise :(
