Hi from West Devon
« on: May 25, 2014, 09:26:50 pm »
Well hello,
We are Mark and Aly, the 2 kids, dog and cat.
Next week we embark upon our Smallholding adventure, renting 12 acres in West Devon.
We hope to keep a small flock of sheep, some pigs for meat, some chickens, our two Dales horses and grow some vegetables in the coming years.
We shall be regular visitors here and probably ask some inane questions. Please humour us :-)

Welcome! I'm in Kent with husband, three children, two cats, two lizards, nearly 80 chickens, ducks and geese (lost count tbh, they keep hatching) and approx. 70k bees! Oh, and veges, fruit galore and newly planted two acres of vineyard. Very, very busy at this time of year. Start with veges, hold off on the full on animals if you can. I had plans of sheep when we moved in two years ago and that became the vineyard instead!
