This year for the first time I have had two sheep. After taking a course at my local Agricultural college I managed to buy two cade lambs from their flock. They were pedigree lleyn sheep, attractive, reasonably docile and easy to handle. I split a 3/4 acre paddock in to two using electric sheep netting and moved them between the two paddocks every 3 weeks. I settled on two because local experts warned me that the predicted hot summer and drought would mean that there would be insufficient grass. My two sheep did not really manage to keep the grass down and in reality could have done with another pair of hooves. I am in Derbyshire and have had the sheep from June until Mid October.
