Can anyone tell me when the best time of year to sell Gimmers would be please? Would I be right to presume that buyers would want them in time to flush them for the tup or do they prefer to buy them earlier so they can be quarantined etc?

If you have a look at the sales diaries of your local livestock auction marts, that will show you when people buy and sell what kind of livestock in your area.

It also depends on breed, hill types will sell later in the year than the more Downs and fat/terminal type.

all the big sales for breeding sheep are about just now, or again pre tupping time usualy in with tup sales, are they hogs just now ? they can be sold as dry hogs just now

They are gimmers almost ready for their first shear.
The mart I prefer to use only has one sale on their website that isn't for prime lambs and that's one for ewes with lamb at foot. I think I'll give the mart a ring and ask what's coming up it may be possible to put stock in with other sales.
