Pig with snotty nose and red around eyes, keeps eyes shut

Diagnosis please!  This is the pig with crusty eyes before, now they are red in roughly a 1 cm radius around.  Snotty mucus stuff is coming out of its nose and it sneezes.  What is the best course of action?  These pigs seem to be a big problem, I'm sure I'm keeping them up to standard but would be interested to know if there is any common causes of this. :(

I know you said the breeder had wormed them prior to you collecting them - do you know what they were wormed with? Was it an oral wormer or an injection?

What breed are they and what age are they ?
Are they eating, drinking and pooing normally ?
Are they bright and lively?
Do they have a temperature ? (it should be 38-39C)

It sounds like it could be a combination of things, but without photo's (and sometimes even with photos) it is impossible to say what it might be - come back with answers to the above questions and some of us might have more of an idea, but I suspect it's going to be a vet visit  :(

i wouldnt actually take for granted any animal was wormed before sale, whatever species. no matter what the seller said - its buyers beware, and i always reworm.

Yup, unless you were there when it was done or were given a note of the medication and batch number used I'd also be wary - there are good breeders out there but also not so good ones too......

14 weeks old, GOS.  Eating, drinking pooing normally, seem ok but maybe a bit lethargic.  Haven't take their temp - dunno whether i've got anything suitable!  i think they were injected as the breeder said "don't worry about that bit of blood behind their ears, we wormed them just before we came".

I think a vet visit may be in order.  Whyever it is they're not well if it's not tackled it will leave them open to something like pneumonia that could see them off very quickly.

Thanks for the advice.  Have spoken to the vet and he has prescribed an antibiotic.
