Hello folks
The problem i have is with an over friendly family of Pheasants who are getting through my newly grass seeded paddocks at a hell of a rate!
I am looking for suggestions on keeping them at bay until the grass seed has had a chance to germinate.
Not interested in having them shot, me and the missus are far too wildlife friendly to even contemplate that.

Any clever & cheap ideas out there?

I used to have a bird/cat scarer that worked by a movement sensor and sprayed water.it worked really well. I had a gardener at the time and it always got him too

Might it have some effect to feed them plenty of grain away from the paddocks, so they don't need to eat your seed and newly germinating grass?  Not something I've tried.  It might just attract more I suppose
