day 23 of Mrs Broodys diary...


and finally there is signs of hatching 1 egg has a hole the size of a 5p and its cheaping!!!

  My last one broody chick hatched yesterday (day 27!!!!').  This  21 days thing is just misleading for the novice! Luckily the hen wasn't counting and carried on sitting! Incy spread was day 22-25 ish.  I love chicks! Show us your pics if you can?

well in an hour and a half we went from a small hole to fully hatched, unfortunately or fortunately Mrs Broody who has been my best buddy for the last 3 weeks enjoying tickles and treats loves her new baby so much she told me in no uncertain terms to get lost and take my camera with me...


i was actually quite glad i dont speak chook cos her language was appalling!!!


1 baby hatched so far no more pipped will look again when everyone else is home so they get a peak before it gets dark...

I know the feeling but from experience with puppies do leave her to it - she may go off either them or you.

I didn't make it over, too good an opportunity to be working in the garden when the weather was nice, and now it isn't I am less prone to spontaneous outings by car
