Hi
Although I have kept sheep before, I have today brought my first pedigree's, 5 lovely Suffolk ewes, the question is should I join some sort of society or club, the only one I have found seems to be based in Ireland, is this the right one???  :hshoe:

Err... it has its head office in Nothern Ireland, which is part of the UK... ;)

And yes, according to the National Sheep Association, their website is http://www.suffolksheep.org/
Don't listen to the money men - they know the price of everything and the value of nothing

Live in a cohousing community with small farm for our own use.  Dairy cows (rearing their own calves for beef), pigs, sheep for meat and fleece, ducks and hens for eggs, veg and fruit growing

Should you join some sort of society?----only if you think they will further your aims in keeping /selling these sheep!

Some societies are little more than paper gathering machines that do little to promote or improve the animals/animal keepers they purport to represent
