pshycotic hebridean ewe - help....
« on: April 20, 2014, 09:06:20 pm »
Help please....

We put our 4 hebridean ewes with the tup and so far one has lambed twins, and 2 others are definitely due to lamb.  We have an issue with the 4th and we don't think she is actually expecting.  She is going loopy at the minute and we are worried she will either hurt or possibly kill the other new lambs.  She is springing about like a possessed beast.  Should we try split her off from the expectant ewes and pray she does not lamb or does anybody else have any other advice???  Any help gratefully received.  Cheers

No shes just being a sheep sometimes in the evening they will all spring around like that but if stressed just one on its own can pronk around abit, maybe shes just feeling left out.

Thanks for that.  She was absolutely mental, never seen her like it before.  We're desperately praying that she is pregnant and she'll calm down.

they can go a bit loopy and even my beautiful Eve turned into a battering ram the night she lambed, i would split her off if worried, but the other mam will keep her babies safe, hope she s settled now x
