Can anyone tell me if I need to register my croft to be eligible to apply for a grant?

Your croft will already be registered. Do you mean re register it in your name? If so I don't think this is one of the statutory triggers for registering under the new legislation.

Aye my croft is in my name, what I mean is the registration of crofts, I phoned the department today and they say you need to register to get grants, I knew you needed to register for assignations decrofting and other major events, but thought to apply for grants I would not. Its just another hoop to jump through and more money to spend.
