I think the big loom that i can have may be a Lancashire type . It was made by George Hodgson  not sure when but may be the late 1880's .
When last used , it was powered by an electric motor , but that seems to be just instead of using the belt pulley , which most likely would have been connected to line shafting powered by a water wheel , much as i would run it , if i get it .
Other things have stepped in and will take my time for a while over the next few months , ie moving .
Just hope the loom is still there when i am settled again .

Just googled him. It sounds like your loom is an old industrial one. Have fun with it when you get round to doing something.
