In this article you can find information on two current vacancies in rural Scotland, or relating to rural development.
 Knoydart Foundation Bunkhouse - Warden
  • Salary £15,600 pro rata (£11,334) per annum
  • 24 net working hourrs per week average - more in summer, less in winter
Knoydart Foundation Bunkhouse are looking for a Warden to manage the day-to-day operation of the 25-bed rural bunkhouse

 Green Routes - Horticulture Tutor
  • Salary - £24,000 - £27,000 dependent on qualifications and experience
Green Routes is a social enterprise and charity based in the walled garden at Gartmore House in Gartmore, West Stirlingshire. Our objective is to provide high quality training and work experience in horticulture to young adults with Additional Support Needs.
Thanks to the support of the Henry Smith Charity, Green Routes is now looking to employ a full time Horticulture Tutor to develop and deliver training in horticulture to SVQ levels 1&2.
Significant previous experience in teaching students with Additional Support Needs in horticulture, coupled with the ability to work successfully and flexibly alongside a wide range of other staff and volunteers, is essential.

 Trellis and The Federation of City Farms and Community Gardens - Freelance Fieldworkers Trellis and The Federation of City Farms and Community Gardens are looking to recruit a number of freelance fieldworkers to support community and therapeutic gardening projects across Scotland. Fieldworkers will be recruited on a freelance basis (circa 8-10 days’ work per year at the daily rate of £140 plus travel expenses).
If you have direct experience of working in this field and are motivated to share your skills and experience with others we’d like to hear from you. Priority will be given to applicants that are actively involved with groups from the FCFCG or Trellis networks.
