NFU or CLA?
« on: February 22, 2014, 11:06:07 am »
Talking with a friend of mine, we were discussing the advantages between membership of the NFU or CLA as far as smallholders are concerned.

Anyone got any views about the advantages of one over the other?

I'm a Countryside member of the NFU - have to be to insure with them.  Bit expensive to be a full member.  I've always found it very useful to be a member of the specialist clubs for my livestock - great for keeping up to date and bringing in new bloodlines as well as finding buyers for excess stock, so National Sheep Association, British Pig Association, Gloucestershire Old Spots Pig Breeders Club, Southdown Sheep Association, Turkey Club, Laced Wyandotte Club .....
