Caithness-shire is the furthest north county of mainland Scotland. It is bounded on the north by the Pentland Firth, on the east and south-east by the North Sea

If you have a house number/name and a correct postcode it will get to the right place, most of the stuff in between is advisory for the postal workers but Caithness is recognisable enough not to misdirect anyone up north, honest ;)  If you HAVE to put something, Highlands would probably do better than somewhere else that is specifically going somewhere else/

Thanks Helen  ;D

No - i am fine with Caithness as a county but its paypal that has the problem.  If I leave the drop down box empty it fill in half the line with DEFAULT 8,  and as I am only spending one night there I cant take the chance on it not being delivered because the courier couldnt understand the address.  The closest I can find is Highland

Ohps nearly cross posted Ellied - I think I will put in Highland

Caithness was a county - most northerly mainland county - and therefore a local government area. After 1996 and local government reorganisation, it became part of Highland Region, now it's part of Highland Council area. Most folk in Scotland would know where Caithness is. I think.

I am sure  :eyelashes:   But the problem was paypal didn't and wouldn't allow me to enter it.  I settled for Highland in the end.

eBay and Paypal also do not recognise Berwickshire and always put in Scottish Borders so I am sure Highland will be fine.
Loving reading your blog too

Highland is fine for paypal, I live in Sutherland which borders Caithness and everything I buy through paypal or ebay gets delivered, its the postcode that causes the issue but thats another story! I found having highland as opposed to Sutherland better in the respect that my purchases dont end up going to Sunderland!
