I would like to start hatching, and would rather buy and collect than use mail service. I've seen hatch rate decline with amount of travelling especially via post/planes. Prefer breeds like Sussex, welsommer, Marans, aracuna, cream legbar, rir, but will definitely consider any pure breed. I realise fertility may be lower at this time of year, but in the past have had fair hatch rates in January!
My birds aren't separated into breeds and most are only pullets, so not suitable for hatching.
If you have eggs for sale, and are fairly local, please get in touch. Thanks, Steph
EDITED:
Also, I'll be driving back from Manchester next Sunday, 16th February. If you live within 20mins of the motorway, route: Perth, Stirling, down M74/M6 to Manchester, I could collect, ideally for more than 18 eggs. Happy for eggs to be a week or so old, I don't buy into the patter of 'must be less than 3 days old' which I read on the internet.
