My thoughts are with all those in the flood hit South West.
« on: February 05, 2014, 03:16:28 pm »
I was listening to Jeremy Vine's show earlier and a lady absolutely heartbroken as she and her family were having to move out because of the floods. She's had to find homes for all her animals and she doesn't even know where she, her kids and two dogs will be staying tonight. Awful times for so many people  :(
Silly Spangled Appenzellers, Dutch bantams, Lavender Araucanas, a turkey called Alistair, Muscovy ducks and Jimmy the Fell pony. No pig left in the freezer, we ate him all!

I heard that, poor woman and her family. Sadly there will be so many families affected She was right enough, bit late now for David Cameron to having meetings and VIPs showing face.

I heard it as well. Heartbreaking. We moan about all the weather but at least we still have roofs over our heads.

not sure if anyone has seen this but I've just made a donation to The farming community network via this link

http://www.justgiving.com/fcn?utm_source=facebook&utm_medium=socDirdesktop&utm_content=fcn&utm_campaign=post-direct-donation-desktop

they are planning to help get feed and hay etc to livestock suffering in the floods in order to support the farmers who are having an awful time.   wish we could do more.

I didn't see you'd posted this, Plums, so I have done a separate post about it. I feel that giving a donation is so small in comparison to what they need but it's all I can do.
