I have fed rolled oats in the past when I got them cheap. Pigs seemed to like them but it's difficult to know how much to feed as a replacement for normal pig nuts.

Thanks Hughesy,  I still give them their pig rolls with bruised barley, sugar beet shreds and veg. Just thought l would add some oats for variety ! Equal amounts of each ?

I'm not really sure of the amounts to feed. When we had a lot of cereal stuff for cheap a few winters ago we ended up with some very fat porkers. We were feeding a mix of rolled oats, rolled barley and flaked maize. I have a suspicion that the maize was the problem but not really sure. It may also be that we simply fed too much as it was very cheap and we weren't too careful with it.
