Flemish Giant as a house pet?
« on: February 02, 2014, 10:27:33 am »
We visited a poultry breeder the other day. She also bred Flemish Giants. I have a recollection of a customer of mine in the UK who had a young Flemish Giant as a house pet which she was in the process of litter training with a lot of success. It used to terrorise her Jack Russell as well. My wife expressed an interest in having one as a house pet when our cockerel departs us.

What are the known problems with Flemish Giants as house pets? Do they eat electric cables, furniture (like chinchillas) and are they inclined to escape or do they stay close? Anyone know?

any rabbit will eat cables, so will cats and dogs for that matter (mine do anyway) so rabbit proof the house.
