Chickens For sale fife
« on: September 05, 2009, 04:24:12 pm »
Hi everyone, i was wondering if anyone (or you know anyone) in the North east Fife area was needing (wanting) a few more chickens or cockerels,  We bought a new trio or Gold Pencilled Wyandottes about 8 weeks ago and they haven't settled into their surroundings, hence no eggs from them and them being nervy has put my others off lay! so instead of carrying on and risking anything happening we have decided to "Punt" then on, we also have two home bred   cockerel's  looking, as we cant keep two,

anyone interested?

thanks Cameron

The others being off lay may be a coincidence - I haven't had hens eggs for three or four days and prior to that only a few, with only one duck laying.  It's moulting time.
Always have been, always will be, a WYSIWYG - black is black, white is white - no grey in my life! But I'm mellowing in my old age

i never thought off that, it may just be a HUGE coincidence, mine going off lay at the same time, i still would like to get rid though, as it is a shame on them, getting stressed and that,

Can't you separate them?

the new ones are separate at the moment, and have been for a week and still wont settle, I got to rhode islands at the same time from the same place, and they have settled in well,
i need the space for when my  two young cockerels need to be separated in about 2-3 weeks,
and  the accommodation isn't suitable to keep then in for any great length of time,  :(  :(

How is it going with them now? I would be interested (really like the breed), but couldn't accommodate them before the end of October. Just let me know what your deal would be  :&>

X breed cockerel free
light Sussex cockerel £5
trio £25

There is two hens and a cockerel, hoping for around 25 for the three

Have been moved away from the others and are acting more like chickens, rushing up for scraps etc, still no eggs unfortunately,

we are in the St Andrew, Leven Cupar area
