Holiday base or veg plots in exchange for assistance?
« on: January 08, 2014, 05:53:08 pm »
I have a double spare room and/or room on the drive for a caravan and car on a short term basis if anyone wants to come and stay in return for assistance on the holding.  I am in north Fife, under half an hour to Perth (Scone Palace, races etc), St Andrews, Dundee, Falkland Palace/Estate (Big Tent green festival venue), about an hour from central Edinburgh, Stirling, Dunkeld/Pitlochry, Blairgowrie (Blair 3DE).

Skilled labour exchanged might range from digging/tending veg beds, building block walls, fencing/gateway maintenance, chopping wood (bring your own chainsaw!), barn roof repair, electrical work, decorating (indoors and out), handling Highland pony youngstock, backing, rebuilding chicken run, ragwort clearance, pruning fruit trees, you name it I probably have it somewhere on my "wish to do" list!

Due to arthritis I am patchy about how much I can do myself or even help someone else, and financially I can't pay for all that needs done.  I'm just trying to be creative and if a busman's holiday appeals I am happy to talk through ideas.

Alternatively if someone local (Lindores KY14) with their own transport is interested in taking on the veg beds in return for a few hours a week assistance on a more regular basis, that could also work on a trial basis for this coming season..

Linda

Don't wrestle with pigs, they will love it and you will just get all muddy.

Let go of who you are and become who you are meant to be.
