Hi everybody,
I have 2 pet border collies from trials stock and I am currently learning to work sheep with them at Quernmore near Lancaster. This is quite a journey from my home so I was considering renting land and buying sheep. This would have enabled me to practice more frequently and consistently.Unfortunately I have had to have a wrist op so managing sheep at present would be impractical to say the least. I was wondering if I would be able to find a kind person who had suitably well behaved sheep to train a young dog on who was prepared to let me practice with their sheep between lessons. I have entered 2novice handler trials with my older dog and came second in the first one,beginners luck I think. I live near St. Helens  so somewhere significantly nearer than lancaster would be great. Here's  hoping!
