Beware of barn doors in this wind.
« on: January 07, 2014, 03:59:35 pm »
Last night I got caught by a strong gust, the door I was closing was ripped from my hands hurling me face down in the mud , the edge of the door caught my shoulder and bad hip , I think I have ruptured my bicep from trying to hold on to it, Bloody sore arm today . so be careful with big doors in these winds.

We keep ours chained like the Grimoires at Unseen University.

Any doors really. I nearly got taken out by the chicken run gate today. And dangerous for livestock too (I was supposed to get some gold laced hatching eggs last year until the cockerel got squashed behind a door). Hope your bruises and tears are better soon.

Hope it's not too painful,

Nasty, Tiz. Hope it's easing now. The biggest danger round here is flying garden chairs. I stacked them so the weight would hold them down and they still go. Even my huge garden table, complete with collapsed parasol, travelled across the patio in the last lot.
