Spare Ducks
« on: January 02, 2014, 05:27:27 pm »
Following a late hatch last year we have 2 ducks and 2 drakes going spare, well I'm going spare the amount of puddling the whole family are doing right now. I've had to leave it untill the curly tail feather grew because I can't tell them apart untill then. If anyone can give a good home to a pair or all of them I'll do my best to catch them. They are Indian Runners but have to admit some of them are less than upright but they all run in a line which is very entertaining.
3 miles from Llandovery, where there is an abundance of water at the moment.

Wish I was closer, I love Indian runners, I have a white duck and what was supposed to be a magpie drake but he is actually a stunning iridescent green, don't know if this is normal for the drake or not! Love him anyway. They are very comical aren't they.

Hi Marlboro,
I would definitely be interested but it's come a bit at the wrong time. We are going on holiday in a couple of weeks time and not back until 8th Feb.
I don't think it would be right for me to have them just before we go away but if you haven't managed to find homes for them when we get back I would be pleased to have them.
We have a big pond but only currently have 3 ducks and 2 geese.
