Hi from Stirling
« on: December 29, 2013, 03:47:58 pm »
Hi everyone,
I thought as I have been popping in now and again I better say "hello."
I have been a country lass all my days being brought up on farms. A Goatkeeper for 35years and had poultry in my life for as far back as I can remember.
That all changed recently.  No longer a Goatkeeper, dont have poultry and dont live on a farm anymore. I am now a Townie!!!  with an Allotment  :excited:  Well OH will be doing the hard work on the allotment, which is brand new and never been worked so a busy time ahead.
I love baking and always on the look out for new recipes.  Love the Shortbread one.  Guess what everyone got for Christmas this year?
Hope 2014 is good to you all

 just down the road in Clackmannan although we are selling up  :fc: and we could live anywhere, we used to have chickens and did have a pair of Ducks but due to the move we got rid of birds, I too love the country but not much of a grower, done the loment in the past but found it not suitable for my body  :innocent:anyway, so until we move just Labradors...4 at the last count!!!  I miss the chickens, they must be the best pet out, not much trouble...I just hate  buying eggs and hate throwing bread away etc....so we have no idea where or when we will move but if suitable house comes along with land we will grow and we will have chickens!! Welcome

Hi and Happy New Year to you all,

Its good to know that there are a few 'allotmenters' near at hand.  We have had in the past a decent sized garden for our needs where we could do what we like.  Getting used to the dos and donts will be interesting.  First priority will be looking for the shed and greenhouse.  OH doest want a big greenhouse but only because he doesnt like cucumber and courgette, he is more of a tatties with everything kind of guy!
