Just the job Sue! Many French have them for holidaying. The Dutch seem to be keen on them as well. Some campsites only cater for RV's and the ground is hardcore with grass over which you can't actually get a tent peg into -we've tried.

It is AMAZING!!! And - once stationary - the sides expand outwards in the bedroom and sitting room areas to give even more space. There's even a pillar to put a little table between the driver's and passenger's seat at the front to eat off, TWO televisions (one to watch from bed) and a pretty much normal sized fridge-freezer.

It's also got automatic levelling, its own generator and a rear-view camera for parking.

Fabulous home Sue. I know you will have been reading the manuals all evening getting to grips with it.

Domino is "settled" - under the sofa in the conservatory - and hasn't budged from there. I know she has used the litter tray though and had some food so she'll come out once she's ready I expect. She was certainly chattier this morning.

Wow, that's not a campervan it's a palace on wheels!

I'm afraid it's not going to fit in my gates tho, so you may need to hire carparks or airport runways ahead on your travels in this part of the world!  All the best for your adventures and the finalisation of the rest of the selling up ready to move on out.

Don't think you'll get that over our railway bridge let alone our drive and yard.   :innocent: But you can park in the street and walk over  :excited:

Yes - I have to say I am slightly over-awed at present.

But when I got my first cow it was all a complete unknown to me, I calved her and learnt to handmilk and I know its different but I bet if you took the population as a whole there would be more folk who could drive something that size than calve and milk a cow

Still - that dosn't stop the TREPIDATION

Ok - I'm sitting in Thebus at the table with the laptop running off mi-fi

Not quite sure how I managed it but the heater and generator are on theres a pot of tea on the stove and Phoebe on a sheepskin at my feet.

Fingers are  a bit cold though.  I think I will turn the thermostat up

Needless to say I havent moved Thebus yet, but intend to spend the night inside.

My mum sold her house and bought something very similar (maybe even a bit longer!).  She travelled all over the UK and Europe, wintering somewhere lovely and warm like Spain.  She had never driven anything like that before, learnt how it all worked and how to operate everything by herself.  Travelled around for about 3 years before circumstances changed and she sold it.

She had a fantastic time and was well into her 60's at the time.  Take a deep breath, have confidence and enjoy!
