Oh I have no illusion of how long dogs love to sleep, my rescue collie would sleep all night with my husband at home and then sleep all day when I was on nights. Until she was settled the only time she was ever destructive was the half hour between my husband going to work and me coming in off nights.  When she was an old dog and deaf she would tuck herself up between my bed and the wall and snooze the day away.
