do you really need instructions on a cooking meat? or are you after timing the weight?
cook til the juices run clear. simple.
its even better if you shove butter between the meat and the skin... :yum:

20 mins per lb, plus 40 minutes...always check the thickest part of of the leg to make sure the juices are running clear also, you can do the "ohyafecker" test...stick a skewer into the thickest part of the breast, leave for approx 25 seconds, then hold the end of the skewer against your bottom lip..if you make an instinctive noise that sounds similar to "ohyafecker"...it's ready  :-J  All joking aside, resting is just as important to keep the bird nice and moist....enjoy Ho Ho Ho

Have you checked you have a roasting tin large enough for it, and that it will fit in your oven?! God luck, with a bird that size I hope you have lots of people coming to enjoy it with you!

not for Christmas I hasten to add but I really want to try the outdoor deep fried Turkey Recipe that is very popular in America for Thanksgiving!!!

That much boiling oil can only be exciting!!!
