what a shame.
NEWS: An Aberdeenshire animal rescue centre's looking for a new home for two dogs who've spent nine months without finding an owner.
Four year-old Khan and Bubba, who's seven, are being looked after the Scottish SPCA's site in Drumoak.
Rescue officers say the Staffies have resigned themselves to the possibility that nobody wants them and are urging anyone who could give them a loving home to get in touch.
SSPCA Assistant Manager Debbie Innes said: "As a charity that rescues abused, neglected and unwanted animals our staff witness a lot of terrible things.
"Some of the cruelty we see is unspeakable and it stays with you for a very long time.
"However, one of the hardest things for us to cope with is watching an animal in our care slowly shut down, to the point that the light just fades from their eyes and they hardly ever leave their beds, the constant rejection becomes too much for them to bear.
"Staffies really struggle to adapt to kennel life because they have a natural affinity to people and they are at their happiest when they have their human companions close by for comfort.
"We are urging people to separate reputation from reality as staffies can and do make wonderful pets and Bubba and Khan are two truly fantastic examples.
They are both longing to feel the warmth and security that only comes from being in a loving home and we hope we can make this happen for them."
Anyone who can offer Bubba or Khan a loving and permanent home can contact the Scottish SPCA's Aberdeenshire Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre on 03000 999 999.
