What's the odds?
« on: April 20, 2010, 07:53:15 am »
We are booked to fly to Florida on Saturday for 2 weeks and right now it's not looking very promising. So frustrating as we have to carry on and get everything ready and with all the animals and veg garden that is no mean feat, yet we'll probably end up cancelled. Just goes to show you mother nature is in charge not us mortals.

There seem to be quite a few aircraft flying this morning, so fingers crossed everything is OK for Saturday for you.

Glasgow and Edinburgh opened this morning at 7 but closd again at noon.  Another cloud on its way apparently!  But it's only Tuesday - it'll be off south by the weekend!

Thanks guys. My 13 yr old daughter is so upset she has looked forward to this for months and she should be excited that we're going in a few days not worried sick. Still it could be worse we could be trapped over there which would be a huge problem.

Yeah, right!  Trapped at Disneyworld - a problem?  I don't think so!  I LOVED it - and I was 'teeny 3 month old with colic' baby sitting a lot of the time ;D ;D

It sounds great Annie but I'm self employed so it would be a big problem financially. Also my father in law is house sitting so it'd be a pain for him. Anyway things are looking better today so fingers crossed for all travellers things get back to normal soon.

Hello Helen lass No I'm not for or against but there was a Pratt on the radio yesterday calling hell out the tour ops and airlines I thought to myself I would rather be stopped from going than see how quick I could descend from 40000 feet because the compressors are all bunged up etc;I feel it may be a bit damp as the aircraft takes up swimming lessons.Cheer up tell Miss there is always tomorrow.I know I say tomorrow never comes but it does in actual effect. We hope you can get re scheduled quickly G&K
Don't do today what can be put off until tomorrow because today will be yesterday tomorrow
