Dumped goats
« on: November 20, 2013, 02:26:51 pm »
Have just had a routine visit from Animal Welfare and he was telling me about being called out to a herd of 30 goats that had been dumped on a country road, most were untagged but those that had been had there tags cut out. These were in the Scottish Borders and and now at a farm park at Jedburgh so if you know of anyone who has lost 30 goats?

Might be worthwhile to contact both the BGS and Boer Goat society.... 30 is quite a large number. But if someone had time to cut out the tags they would have had to "stop over" somewhere... could have come from anywhere in the country. I don't know of anyone near here who has (had  :( ) 30 goats...

I know of a couple of places where there is quite large herds of feral goats and some of the older ones do have/had tags in
We have 34 goats of various ages from 2013 kids upwards but they are all present and correct  ::)
