She's farrowed!!

Thank you for all the advice about farrowing, My tamworth sow florence farrowed last thursday she had 11 piglets there all doing well, I thought i'd post some photo's!

There are 7 girls and 4 boys (tamworth x OSB) Im a very proud mumma

They are just gorgeous!   So jealous, as I am having to give up breeding, and Tamworths are my all time favourite pigs.

That's some great pictures and a fantastic way to start to my day!


My next job is going to be convincing my better half that we should try breeding some next year but we're still raising our first ever Tamworth weaners (until the end of the month) so maybe it's better to complete the whole cycle first!

Thank you for all your comments! Tamworths are my fave too, I only started keeping pigs last year. Fattening weaners for the freezer. I made the jump to breeding and this is my first litter, I'm soo pleased with them and glad I took the jump! I know I have a lot to learn but i'm enjoying every aspect of pig keeping.  ;D

Great little piglets. Funny there's no splodges of black on them if they are OSB crossed. I bet those plastic jugs in the first pic didn't last long, our pigs certainly love to tear into anything plastic we leave in with them!
