Free Sheep keeping and welfare course this Friday
« on: October 29, 2013, 11:40:04 am »
Hi folks,

Just an update to say that one of our delegates remains uncontactable, so there is one (maybe two if you really need to bring a friend!) spot left on our free sheep keeping course in Balfron/Killearn this Friday, 1st November.

The course will include sheep husbandry, sheep health and sheep handling on the premises of a very experienced smallholder/small farmer who started out with a few sheep and found herself a few years later with a few hundred!

If anyone (or any two) want to bag the place, email caroline.robinson@sac.co.uk for more details.
Genuine enquiries only please - it is a pilot scheme so any no-shows may jeopardise future funding for others.

It looks like we may have one spot (we can fit a friend if you need two) on the pig course (Nigg, near Aberdeen) on Friday 15th November and one spot on the second sheep course (as before, we can fit a friend!) on Friday 22nd November (Nigg nr Aberdeen).

The goat course on 29th November in Ayrshire so far remains completely stuffed full, but feel free to email me to be put on the waiting list if you fancy it as, as you can see, occasionally there is one wee person who cannot make it late in the day.

Thanks for reading, have a good week!

Caroline
