It's a lovely morning here - sunny, cold with an icing sugar covering of snow on the hilltops. Happy Easter to everyone from Dan and I.

Totally foul this evening - cold damp and yuk. We had sleet this afternoon which wasn't nice at all. When is the sun coming to stay?

It is bitterly cold here and worse in the wind. I was planting lavender in the snow yesterday and am off to do the rest in a munite or two. Looks nice looking out the window...

Cold, cloudy and a bit grim, but otherwise a bit of a nothing day really.

Rosemary - doyou grow lavender for a specific reason or just because it looks and smells nice?

Mostly because it looks and smells nice and the bees and insects like it.

Although our local garden centre was selling bunches of lavender flowers last year at a price that made me look three times!

I'm also not a very imaginative gardener, but we had a lavender hedge before, which was lovely so I'm going for a tried and tested formula!

It was warm enough to work without  jacket today, then the snow flurries came. It's nice again now, though.
