I love handbags and shoes got lots of them but i have to save for what i want and chose it carefully to match an outfit. But i am a self confessed handbagaholic.
Saying that i wouldn't spend that sort of money on one. Rather go and buy some more sheep! at least they would earn their keep

Some people live in a different world to most of us, I once did a job in bishops gate London, the lady of the house was having a £35k cooker installed, never to be used, as they bought their food in from a restaurant, it was just a talking point amongst friends

we laid the floor at a cost of £5K, the lady didn't like the colour so we replaced it at another £5k, she wrote the cheque out for £10k without batting a eyelid , when asked what to do with the flooring we took up..she told us to get rid of it...my kitchen didn't half look posh  :innocent:

her Hubby pulled up in a aston martin DB9 it was a different world to the one i know

i would imagine £795 for a handbag would be the norm to these people

We always translate money into how many sheep hurdles you could buy (never seem to have enough of them).  If we spent that much we just might.

You have all just reminded me of my great freebie, I have a ruck sack that is a stool as well, its very comfy even for my fat bum...my daughter laughed as she had visions of me walking the dogs with a stool on my  back...it also has a padded tin foil  bit for hot or cold food, load of room for dog treat, leads, bags for foraging and foraged stuff.....then the phone, glasses, camera, scissors, first aid.....I did buy a bag for £2 that I sold for a good profit on E Bay, I think £16-£20 I put it on here at the time,.....I use a bag when I go out but prefer big pockets

Warning, another story!! My friend, an animal lover always wore full make up to go out with her horse etc, she had various rescue dogs and one morning, I went to baby sit her 2 small boys and was greeted buy her elderly cocker spaniel, with a shoe in its mouth, the spaniel dropped the shoe down some roadwork's outside, never to be seen again, my friend then told me just how expensive they were...we both did see the funny side and her husband paid too!
I did used to buy matching shoes, handbags, jewels and scarfs and hope to return to that trend very soon........

Sad to say I've only owned/bought 1 handbag my whole life - I thought it was rather smart black leather but never really had the occasion's to use it as I use my pockets or backpack - guess it must be over 30 years old ans immaculate, would it be classed as vintage now?

That's not sad Brucklay - that's sensible  ;D   I had a handbag once - red leather which I loved.   I came off a motorbike whilst carrying it and the leather was horribly scraped and worn away - I mourn it still  :'(

Then I had a big bag which hardly fits the description of handbag, when my children were small.   Everything bar the pottie fitted in there  :roflanim:

I can fit the exact same amount into a small bag as I can my big one, also, I can never find things in the big bag but can in the small one, its magic.......If travelling there is the functionality test, has to fit I pad, phone, make up, hairspray, brush, spare pants, deodorant or perfume, umbrella, purse, tickets if its the train and hopefully some food and drink, either a small flask or small bottle of water...and it must rest nicely on my shoulder and be fully zipped up to avoid loss of embarrassing spillage, I have followed my teenage daughter walking down the isle of a train dispensing Tampons from her unfastened ruck sack!!
