Hello from another soon-to-be smallholder
« on: October 12, 2013, 12:30:45 pm »
Hello all, I've been lurking for about the past six months and now it seems time to introduce myself and say hello!  I'm an early retired software geek currently living in London, and just starting to seriously look for a smallholding property, probably in the Carmarthen area of West Wales.  I took Rosemary and Dan's Intro to Smallholding course back in August which was hugely helpful especially for someone like me who had done all the reading but wasn't quite sure how big an acre is when you look at it  ;D

I've got an assortment of previous experience from small scale veg growing to working at a veterinary and a small zoo, and a bit of horse riding and care, but still have a ton to learn, and am very glad this forum is here to bring all my beginner questions to!  Happy to see also that there is such a nice Carmarthen area group, looking forward to joining once I've found my place.

Nice to meet you all!
