hi once again . one of my ewes has been  limping on an off for about a week now..i have sprayed her feet with the blue spray i cant rember the name its worked before but  not working now i think i should give her a course of ab .!! any other idears.    !!!   many thanx

Can you feel any heat anywhere in the affected leg? That would give you confirmation if she's an infection going on. Have you checked for any foreign bodies in the foot? AB's sound sensible to me if it's been going on a while. If it had been an injury such as a muscle pull it's likely it would be better by now. Strange that it's on and off though

You shouldn't just be spraying with the antibiotic spray unless you can see a reason for using it.

When you look at her feet, what do you see?

Are there any sore red bits in between the toes?

Are there any parts where the hoof is lifted away from the foot, or is bulging outwards?

Is the hoof grown round and under the sole of the foot anywhere?

Can you feel any heat anywhere in any foot or any leg?

Are there any places that seem sore, where she pulls away when you squeeze?

Just to add to Sally's wisdom - feel all the way up in between the hooves; stones or thorns can get stuck in there and cause infections.  Look to see if there is separation of the wall from the hoof, and clear it out of grit and stones etc.  Clean it all up and look for physical obstructions, then look for infections or deformations or excess growth, then look for injury, before thinking about medication.
If she has bad foot rot do not trim - get the rot treated first. 
If it is not an injury, apply some zinc-based hoof paste.  That will help the foot to recover.

I suggest Net-Tex lameless - bath her hoof in this for about 2 mins and by the next day whe will be walking normally     Has never failed on my lads and lasses - it's great stuff.

the feet looked sore between the toes so i would have thought the spray would have done something !!!! been to vet explained what has been wrong he has given a 5 day course of ab .

make sure the spray is engymycin (spelt wrong ?-sorry) not just purple spray if she has scald between her toes. or there is an engymycin jab also.

what antibiotics did you get?

hi shygirl. its called Duphamox i go to local vet tell him what the problem is then he gives me the dose required not sure this is normal but its worked in the past in france the vets seem to have a different outlook on sheep. so do the sheep farmers .!!

I use this. Cures the problem in no time. Just dilute and spray onto the foot.

This powder is the best thing out there for poultry coccidiosis problems as well.

It's not cheap though.
