Hubbards (Northumberland)(Pictures added)
« on: September 12, 2013, 08:52:57 am »
Been thinking about this for the last few days and wondered if anyone would be interested in some Hubbards ?
this is the first time for us growing our own Chicken for the table and TBH the more we think about it we will never use 51 chickens ourselves   ::)
If anyone would be interested in a few  just give me a shout, they are just over 2 weeks old , growing well, feathering up nicely and tucking in to food like there is no tomorrow
Not sure what to charge at this stage but if interested we can talk about it

would probably let 21 go and keep 30 ourselves

we are 17 miles south of hexham  but do travel around the north a bit

Can't manage to rear them this year Graham - I'm hoping you'll still have a few to sell full-grown / oven-ready?

I feel just a little bit guilty now because we've had 3 separate clutches hatched by our hens but  in each case we just left them to get on with it themselves (apart from providing food of course).

No heat lamp for ours, just free ranging in the fields and woods - as a former southerner myself I was impressed with how tough our northern chicks are!   ;D

Do you ever come south at all?  Maybe as far as Darlington?

I'd love to have some Hubbards again...
