Angora rabbits

Does anyone here keep Angoras? I am thinking about getting one for fibre production. I used to keep smoky grey Angoras but when the last one died I decided to have a break from the grooming and extra work. I still have unspun wool and unused skeins from them in fact, so this time I want an agouti or some other colour.

Julie, I don't keep them but a woman at my spinning group has 7.
She joined our group specifically to learn how to spin so that she could make use of their hair. Her spinning is coming on a treat although she finds it easier if she combines the rabbit hair with some sheep fleece.

It's a long way from here to Wales, lol. Spinning angora is a bit like spinning cotton until you get used to it. I love spinning it on it's own and the finished items are so soft and warm. I made some socks but they make my feet slide on the floor so they're a bit scary, but great inside boots.
