wood preserver
« on: March 19, 2008, 10:44:29 am »
I have built a pig ark from scratch which I want to treat with a wood preserver before I put my new weaners in it. I have looked at all the various brands but none of them seem to say whether they are safe to use on animal housing. Does anyone know of a brand that is safe to use on pig housing?

We use a water-based preservative from B&Q, which says on the tub it's safe for animals. A coat lasts a season at least, and it's very easy to apply.

You should be able to find something similar at any diy store - I'd guess that most water-based products will be safe.
